Who is eligible to file a hair relaxer lawsuit claim in 2024?

Any woman who has received a diagnosis of uterine cancer, endometrial cancer, or ovarian cancer and who used certain hair relaxer products for two consecutive years could be entitled to bring a lawsuit claim.

A study from the National Institutes of Health showed a link between an increased likelihood of some cancers and the use of particular chemical hair relaxers.

Women who said they “frequently” used relaxers were over 50% more likely to develop uterine cancer.

Many brands of these products that were widely sold in stores contain potentially unsafe chemicals such as parabens, bisphenol A, metals, and formaldehyde. The extended exposure of these chemicals to a person’s scalp may increase the risk of cancer.

Any woman who has received a diagnosis of uterine cancer, endometrial cancer, or ovarian cancer and who used any of the following products for two consecutive years could entitled to bring a hair relaxer lawsuit claim:

  • Just for Me™(L’Oreal)
  • Dark and Lovely
  • Soft & Beautiful
  • Motions
  • Olive Oil Girls
  • Or any other lye or no-lye hair relaxers
