Doing a review from friends phone. This is Danijel V.With that out of the way..Nives Juric is simply amazing. After my case was completed I walked her what is the maximum amount of stars I can leave her because being limited to only 5 does not seem to do her any justice.Professional, kind, caring, fast to respond to any questions or concerns one may have is just tip of the iceberg of what kind of service I personally have received from Nives Juric and her team Krystal. The amount of tenacity and effort that went into my case is unparalleled and comparable to none in a good way.Mrs.Juric is a phenomenal human being and a lawyer.Thank you for all the hard work and dedication I sincerely appreciate it.
Thank you! Ellis Liu

Attorney Jason Saltzman and his assistant Kris Brown did an exceptional job working my case. From beginning to end they were very caring about my injuries and concerns. They responded to all my calls, text and emails in a timely fashion and never seem to have an issue with all my questions, and I had many. Because of their obvious honesty, I decided that I could trust them to handle my business and decided to utilize patience. Although there were times that I wondered what was going on, was convinced that they had my best interest in mind. Kris made sure that she requested any and all documents and information they needed and followed up with me if needed. I would recommend this team at Motlick and Associates to anyone who may find themself in a situation like mine and have to endure the pain, suffering and injuries that I endured. At the end of the day I believe they did the best they could on my behalf. Although I am still experiencing the after effects of my surgery. I fell a since of relief from the outcome my team was able to achieve. Thank you Attorney Saltzman and Kris Brown.
Attorney Jennifer Fleming and her Assistant, Joy Herrington were beyond amazing! They were both very professional and patient. As well, no gaps in communication (major plus for me) and my case received above my expectations. Thank you team for educating me through the process and all you did to help my case.
I had the pleasure of working with Ellen Forrester when I tell you she fought tooth and nail for me she did just that! The insurance company was not willing to pay a dime for my injuries but Ms. Forrester was not only persistent and knowledgeable she was on top of her game. Thanks to her and her team I was able to win my case.

How Can an Augusta Wrongful Death Lawyer Help Me?

An Augusta wrongful death legal claim usually involves two separate and distinct claims: (1) wrongful death action and (2) survival action. The damages in a wrongful death action are not part of the decedent’s personal estate but instead damages paid to compensate the family members because a loved one has been taken from them.

The damages recoverable are measured by the full value of the decedent’s life from his or her perspective. This includes both economic loss like lost future income based on typical life expectancy, and other, more intangible forms of loss such as loss of enjoyment of life experiences and pain and suffering between the time of the incident that caused injury and the time of death.

Who Can File a Wrongful Death Claim?

A Path to Justice

Montlick has the knowledge and experience you need. We have a qualified staff of legal professionals that is ready to fight fiercely for your rights after the tragic loss of a loved one.

The surviving spouse has the first priority in bringing a wrongful death claim in Georgia but any recovery must be shared with children of the decedent. If the person who dies is unmarried, then any children of the decedent may pursue a wrongful death claim.

Where the decedent has neither a surviving spouse nor children, the parents of the decedent may bring the wrongful death action. If a decedent has no surviving family members with any of these family relationships, then the executor of the estate may bring the wrongful death action on behalf of the next of kin.

The other legal claim that is typically brought in conjunction with a wrongful death claim is a survival action. The administrator of a decedent’s estate may also bring a claim for the damages suffered directly by the decedent. The action is called a survival claim because the purpose of the action is to have someone step into the shoes of the decedent.

The damages recoverable in a survival action include medical expenses, funeral/burial costs and pain and suffering if the decedent did not die instantly. Punitive damages may also be recoverable by the estate of the decedent if the facts support such damages.

Because our Georgia wrongful death lawyers have been representing the families of those whose death has been caused by a third party since we were founded in 1984, we are qualified to handle a wide variety of wrongful death claims including:

  • Auto accident cases
  • Trucking accidents
  • Falls from elevations
  • Rollover accidents
  • Motorcycle accidents
  • Violent crimes
  • Pedestrian accidents
  • Medical malpractice
  • Negligent security
  • Construction accidents
  • Industrial accidents
  • Occupational illnesses

Our Georgia wrongful death attorneys understand the grief and financial hardship faced by family members of those who lost their lives due to intentional criminal or negligent conduct by a third party.

We believe in providing legal services based on compassion, commitment and personalized attention. We know that the emotional challenges faced by families of wrongful death victims are compounded if a lawyer fails to return phone calls or provide case status updates, so we promise to keep our clients informed about the progress of their claims and answer any questions promptly and thoroughly.

Answers When You Need Them Most

What Are Georgia Deadlines for Filing Car Accident Insurance Claims & Lawsuits?
For personal injury claims resulting from a car accident, the statute of limitations in Georgia is usually two years from the date of the accident. This means you would have two years to file a lawsuit against the responsible party/parties. Failure to file within this time frame could result in the loss of your right to seek compensation for your injuries. The statutes of limitations can vary depending on the jurisdiction of the accident.
