Crash Tragically Kills Young Couple on Highway 411 in Murray County, Georgia (GA)

August 04, 2020

MURRAY COUNTY, GA- Wdef.com writes that a car crash on Highway 411 left a young couple dead this week in Murray County. The incident occurred near the intersection with Hooker Road.*

Police now say that the collision may not have been accidental, and that another vehicle was involved in the wreck, and that it fled the crash scene.

A witness informed officers that a vehicle drove up to the victims’ red Mustang and struck the back of the car several times. The unidentified vehicle then pulled next to the car and struck the side of the vehicle. The impact led to the Mustang veering off the roadway and overturning, striking a tree, and finally coming to a stop near a mobile home.

The crash caused debris to fly off of the Mustang and strike the home.

The victims, a nineteen-year-old man, and a twenty-year-old woman, both died in the wreck.

The driver in the other car then left the crash scene. The witness was able to see the motorist and described the man as white, tall, and with short hair.

Surveillance cameras indicate that the other car was a Chevrolet Optra.

Officers are continuing to investigate the collision.
