Montlick & Associates, WSB-TV & the AFAEE Partner to Support Excellence in Education

2015 AFAEE Awards

At Montlick & Associates, we believe in the power of collaboration to bring about positive change in our schools and our communities. That’s why we’re pleased to sponsor Commitment 2 Education, a unique partnership with Channel 2 and the Atlanta Families’ Awards for Excellence in Education (AFAEE). The goal of the AFAEE program is to identify excellent educators across Metro Atlanta, and help them expand their impact through public recognition and financial support.

The 2015 AFAEE Awards were given to 11 educators from 5 school districts. To win, each individual must go through a rigorous application process and demonstrate excellence in three areas: 1) increasing student achievement 2) enhancing student self-esteem and 3) effective collaboration with community stakeholders for the benefit of the students.

In addition to the prestigious honor, each winner receives $7,500 from AFAEE. Portions of each monetary award go towards: 1) supporting a special school project of the winner’s choice 2) funding a professional development opportunity to increase the winner’s effectiveness in the school or classroom and 3) a personal stipend for each winner.

“We are very grateful to the Atlanta Families Awards for Excellence in Education for working tirelessly to elevate the quality of public education in Metro Atlanta. And we extend our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all the winners of this prestigious award,” says firm Founder and CEO David Montlick. Since the AFAEE’s inception in 2005, the organization has granted over $2 Million to 138 principals and teachers.
