Accident on Hwy 225 in Murray County, Georgia, Results in One Fatality
MURRAY COUNTY, GA. – According to a news story published online at wrcbtv.com, a motor vehicle crash that took place on Highway 225 in Murray County, Georgia, resulted in one fatality. No identifying information about the victim has yet been released, nor has any detailed information regarding the wreck.*
The accident occurred during the early evening hours, in the area of Kenneth Cherry Road and New Prospect Road on Highway 225. Georgia State Patrol and WRCB report that around 5 p.m., emergency responders were called to this location on a report of a vehicle accident. They arrived and found that one vehicle had somehow crashed in the area. The make and model of the vehicle were not reported by authorities.
It is unclear at this time how the vehicle crashed or in what way it became involved in a collision. The report did not say if the driver lost control or if the vehicle crashed into an object. Investigators released limited information in the time immediately following the accident.
WRCB reports that Georgia State Patrol Troopers confirmed one person was tragically killed in the accident. This person was not identified.
