Children's Booster Seat Safety, presented by Atlanta/Georgia Accident Attorneys, Montlick & Associates

A booster seat can save your child's life. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), car accidents are the leading cause of death for children 14 and under. Failure to use proper restraints is a contributing factor in half of these fatalities. Various studies have proven that children under the age of 12 are often not ready to wear seat belts alone, and that booster seats are needed to bridge the gap between forward-facing safety seats and vehicle safety belts.

Atlanta Accident Attorneys Montlick & Associates has handled tens of thousands of auto accident cases over the past 30 years. Unfortunately, we've seen our fair share of situations where children are injured and sometimes killed; and so many times, it could have been prevented. As part of our commitment to helping keep kids safe and preventing injures, Montlick & Associates' Family Safety Advocate appeared on ABC news to provide important booster seat safety tips. The firm also created the safety guide above to help parents determine if and when their child should use a booster seat. Parents, please take the time to read. The consequences of prematurely moving your child to seat belts alone can be disastrous.
