2024 Montlick Injury Attorneys’ Male and Female Athlete of the Year

Montlick Injury Attorneys is proud to recognize Gicarri Harris, standout basketball player from Grayson High School, as the 2024 Male Montlick Athlete of the Year and Allie Sweet outstanding volleyball player from River Ridge High School, as the 2024 Female Athlete of the Year—in partnership with WSB-TV SportsZone!

We commend Gicarri and Allie for their outstanding performances on the basketball and volleyball court. We wish them both continued success as they pursue academic and athletic career at the collegiate level.

In honor of Gicarri and Allie’s achievements, Montlick is donating $5,000 to Grayson High School and River Ridge High School.

2021 Montlick Injury Attorneys^®‘ Male and Female Athletes of the Year

Montlick Injury Attorneys^® proudly donated $5,000 each to North Oconee High School and Westlake High School in honor of Bubba and Raven’s achievements as the 2021 Male and Female ‘Athletes of the Year’. “We hope these donations will allow the faculty and staff at each of these schools to continue their efforts in providing an outstanding academic environment in which students can excel and achieve their full potential.” says Founder and CEO David Montlick.

The Montlick Injury Attorneys^® ‘Athlete of the Year’ Award is part of a season long partnership with WSB-TV Channel 2. Starting in the 2018-2019 school year we will honor and recognize male and female athletes in all high school sports throughout the entire school year. Each week a new student athlete will be featured on WSB-TV’s Sports Zone program on Channel 2 in Atlanta.

At the end of the spring semester the community will vote for one male and female student athlete and the WSB-TV news team will select the winners from the athletes receiving the highest votes. The students will be named the Montlick Injury Attorneys^® ‘Athlete of the Year’, and their school will receive a $5,000 donation from Montlick Injury Attorneys^® in their honor.

2020 Montlick Injury Attorneys^®‘ Male and Female Athletes of the Year

Montlick Injury Attorneys^® proudly donated $5,000 each to Decatur High School and Creekview High School in honor of Jordan and Emily’s achievements as the 2020 Male and Female ‘Athletes of the Year’. “We hope these donations will allow the faculty and staff at each of these schools to continue their efforts in providing an outstanding academic environment in which students can excel and achieve their full potential,” says Founder and CEO David Montlick.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, school districts across Metro Atlanta and the country were closed mid-March through the end of the 2020 school year. Schools implemented online instructional learning while cancelling their entire spring athletic season. We realize how heartbreaking this has been for the high school seniors who were not able to compete in their final year due to the Coronavirus. We send every 2020 graduating student-athlete our best wishes as they continue to pursue their dreams on and off the field!

Marcus Sayles Named 2011 Montlick Injury Attorneys^® Athlete of the Year; Chattahoochee High School Receives $5,000 from Montlick Injury Attorneys^®!

Montlick^® is proud to honor Marcus Sayles from Johns Creek, Georgia, as the “2011 Montlick’ Athlete of the Year.” On game night Marcus is rarely off the field excelling as a wide receiver and a defensive back for the Chattahoochee High School Cougars. Those who know him best say Marcus achieves goals both in the classroom and on the field. Coach Terry Crowder says, “It’s very rare that you have such a good player that practices so hard. That is what he does, he leads by example.” Marcus and his teammates are already winners as they were recently named the 2011 Regional Champions. The Montlick Injury Attorneys’ Athlete of the Year has big plans for after graduation. “My top three colleges are Southern Mississippi, West Virginia and Troy; and I want to major in sports management,” says Marcus.

In honor of Marcus and his achievement as the 2011 Athlete of the Year, Montlick donated $5000 to Chattahoochee High School. “We hope this donation will allow the faculty and staff at Chattahoochee High School to continue their efforts in providing an academic environment in which students can prosper and achieve their potential,” says Founder and CEO David Montlick. Assistant Principal Tim Corrigan expressed his appreciation for the donation and said that for a school to receive $5,000 was like winning the jackpot.
