Prior to joining Montlick, Ellis worked as an attorney for the insurance industry, representing some of the largest corporations in the world, including restaurants, retail stores, rideshare companies, trucking companies, and medical providers. He quickly realized the challenges people face getting justice and fair compensation for their injuries. Today, as an advocate for injured people, Ellis loves being part of a compassionate legal team that values strong work ethic and open communication with clients. His ability to speak conversational Spanish and Mandarin Chinese has been helpful to many of his personal injury clients and their families.
Ellis has a long history of standing up for what’s right. He has served in every branch of Georgia’s government, and has drafted and lobbied for a bill to protect minors in Georgia from felony prosecution under state obscenity laws (passed in 2013).
After graduating from Emory University School of Law, Ellis gained valuable insight clerking on a fellowship for the Honorable Steve C. Jones, United States District Court.
A prolific writer and avid speaker, this native Atlantan enjoys exploring Atlanta, whether volunteering for Trees Atlanta, or simply strolling around Piedmont Park with his wife, daughter, and their Goldendoodle.
