Richard Warner is a seasoned Georgia personal injury attorney who has dedicated more than two decades to serving injured clients. He has been practicing law since 2000, is licensed in both Georgia and New York and admitted to practice in all Georgia state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He is known for his steady judgment and analytical insight, shaped by real-life experience as a determined advocate fighting on behalf of his clients after injury.

Over his long tenure at Montlick, Richard has passionately pursued clients’ cases with an eye towards helping clients navigate life-changing challenges. He has guided individuals and families through an extraordinary range of injury matters, offering calm, assured counsel during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Richard understands how disruptive an accident can be to everyday life and prioritizes supporting clients as they work toward returning to their routines, including driving again and maintaining their independence. Clients rely on him to break down complicated issues, answer hard questions, and help them understand their options with clarity and confidence. He understands the hardships that come after serious injuries and gladly takes on the nuances and complexities of the legal process so his clients can focus on healing.

Richard’s work has brought him into the lives of people facing profound challenges, from families grieving devastating loss to individuals recovering from severe and unforeseen injuries. Before pursuing law, Richard built a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant in New York, receiving the New York State Society of CPAs Award of Honor for outstanding achievement. His CPA background honed his analytical discipline and problem-solving skills, qualities that later became hallmarks of his legal practice. Though he had long been drawn to the legal profession, serving as the foreperson on a jury became the defining moment that confirmed his decision to pursue a career in law. It revealed to him the importance of an attentive advocate in the pursuit of fairness and accountability. At Montlick, he found a firm whose mission aligned with his own values, including a shared dedication to helping families and supporting child safety through meaningful public-service initiatives. These values, along with the Boy Scout maxim “do a good deed daily,” continue to guide his philosophy as an advocate today.

Richard earned his J.D. from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1999, where he competed on the highly competitive Cardozo Trial Team. His time on the team strengthened his courtroom abilities and deepened his commitment to client advocacy. During law school, he also worked with the Legal Aid Society, gaining hands‑on experience assisting vulnerable individuals. Prior to law school Richard earned his undergraduate degree, a B.B.A., from City University of New York, Baruch College in 1987.

Richard was born in the United Kingdom and grew up in Queens, New York, and has called Georgia home since 2001. When not at work or out in the community, Richard loves being at home. He’s a devoted family man who enjoys spending quality time with his wife, children and grandchild. Outside the office, he spent many years coaching youth baseball and continues to embrace his “Mr. Safety First” persona in daily life.
