2020 Was the Deadliest Year for Fatal Accidents Since 2007

NASHVILLE, TN - The year 2020 was deadly for Tennessee motorists.  Accident data provided by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDSHS) reports that there were over 1,200 Tennessee traffic fatalities in 2020.  The crash data reports the highest number of traffic accident fatalities in Tennessee history occurred back in 1950.  The total number of traffic-related fatalities in 1950 was 1,444.
