Woman and Man Identified in Tragic Motorcycle Collision with a Vehicle in Laurens, South Carolina

LAURENS, SC – According to an online news report at, two motorcyclists tragically lost their lives after they collided with a vehicle over the weekend.*

According to the Laurens Police, the collision happened in the nighttime hours on Church Street, close to Anderson Drive.  The police chief indicated that a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle collided, causing injuries to the driver and both of the motorcycle riders.  

All three of the victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment.  The Laurens County Coroner confirmed that the two motorcyclists died due to the impact of the crash.  They were identified as a 49-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man.  Both were from Waterloo, South Carolina.  

The occupants of the motorcycle were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident.  An autopsy has been scheduled earlier this week in order to determine how the motorcyclists perished.  The condition of the driver is not known at this time.  

There are no further details on the accident at this time.  The crash remains under investigation by the local police.
