Fatal Two-Car Accident on Mallard Road in Dorchester County, South Carolina
DORCHESTER COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA - A news report posted on live5news.com states that the South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal two-car accident that occurred last Thursday afternoon.*
The fatal accident occurred on Mallard Road close to Summerville at around four in the afternoon.
South Carolina Highway Patrol officials reported that a Dodge Charger and a Buick passenger car were heading westbound along Mallard Road. At some point, the Buick tried to pass the other vehicle. The Buick purportedly hit the Charger causing both motor vehicles to leave the road and crash.
The Buck's driver was tragically killed and its passenger was taken to a local area hospital. The Charger's driver was also taken to a local hospital. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the fatal car accident. No criminal charges were reported at this time.
