Tragic, Fatal Car Accident in Clayton, South Carolina (SC)

SOUTH CAROLINA - A news story published on wral.com reports that a 32-year-old woman was tragically killed in a motor vehicle collision last Saturday night in Johnston County, South Carolina.*

According to the report, the woman was allegedly driving while intoxicated when she lost control of her motor vehicle.  In the report, officials stated that "alcohol is suspected" to be a factor in the crash.

The report states that the driver, for some unknown reason, tragically left the roadway and crashed into a driveway culvert causing her vehicle to flip over.  Tragically, the driver was not wearing their seatbelt and she was thrown from her vehicle and onto the road. 

Law enforcement authorities stated that the roadway was newly paved and had a low shoulder.  This caused her vehicle to flip over.  The news story states that the victim's boyfriend was following her in his vehicle and he witnessed the crash.  The victim's family stated that she was attempting to avoid colliding with a deer in the road.
