Woman Tragically Killed After She Was Struck by Two SUVs on I-77 in York County, South Carolina
YORK COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA - A news story published on wsoctv.com reports that the South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating a fatal pedestrian accident along Interstate 77 in York County, South Carolina.*
According to the news report, the woman was struck by two SUVs last Thursday night.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol states that the fatal pedestrian collision occurred at approximately 9:30 at night along the southbound traffic lanes of I-77 and around three miles north of Fort Mill, South Carolina. The South Carolina Highway Patrol also reported that a Jeep SUV was traveling southbound and struck a woman who was walking in the far right traffic lane of I-77. A second SUV also struck the woman. The victim was tragically killed at the scene of the collision.
The York County Coroner's Office identified the woman as a 21-year-old woman from Marshville. The victim's autopsy and toxicology test results are pending. The fatal pedestrian accident is currently under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
