Train Collision Occurs in Downtown Dunn, North Carolina

DUNN, NORTH CAROLINA - A news story published on wral.com states that local officials are currently investigating an accident involving a train in Dunn, North Carolina.*

The crash occurred last Wednesday morning at around 7:30.  According to WRAL News, they received calls concerning an accident on U.S. Highway 421 at Granville Street.

According to the report, a wrecked pickup truck was being taken away from the accident scene.  The railroad crossing was opened up at approximately the same time.  The report states that it is not clear if anyone was hurt or if other motor vehicles were involved.  The downtown train accident is currently being investigated and no further details were provided at this time.
