Severe Car Accident in Horry County, South Carolina Sends Two People to the Hospital

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. - According to an online news report published on wmbfnews.com, the South Carolina Department of Public Safety is currently investigating a severe two-vehicle accident in Horry County, South Carolina.*

According to the report, one person was trapped inside the motor vehicle.  The severe car wreck occurred in the Aynor area.

Horry County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched to the accident scene at approximately 6:15 PM.  The precise location of the accident was in the area of Highway 501 and St. John Road.  Emergency rescue crews stated that three people were transported to a local area hospital for treatment of accident-related injuries.  One of the accident victims was air evacuated by a medical helicopter.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.  No criminal charges were reported at this time.  The accident report did not provide any additional information regarding the accident.
