Tragic, Fatal Car Accident on Highway 20 in Abbeville County, South Carolina

ABBEVILLE COUNTY, SC - A news report published on foxcarolina.com states that one person was tragically killed in a car accident in Abbeville County, South Carolina.*  According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred on Highway 20 around 1:20 in the morning. 

The accident report states that a motorist was heading westbound on Highway 20 when they accidentally ran off the road, struck a ditch, and then collided with a tree.  The collision caused fatal injuries to the driver.

According to the Abbeville County Coroner's Office, the driver was identified as a 25-year-old man.  He was tragically declared dead at the accident scene, the coroner reported.  The fatal wreck is currently under investigation.  No further details were provided at this time.
