Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident in Estero, Florida
ESTERO, FLORIDA A news article published on nbc-2.com states that local law enforcement officials responded to a fatal accident on U.S. 41 by County Road in Estero, Florida, at around 5:30 in the morning.*
Estero Fire Rescue crews verified that two people were transported to a local area hospital. Another individual was injured but refused medical treatment, according to the Estero Fire Rescue.
According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the 36-year-old driver from Bonita Springs driver lost control over their vehicle along US 41 and crossed over into oncoming traffic. The Bonita Springs driver was tragically killed at the scene.
A 44-year-old man from Estero crashed their pickup truck into a car as the truck crossed over a median and into their lane.
A passenger riding inside the pickup truck, a 43-year-old woman from Estero, was seriously injured in the accident, troopers reported.
U.S. 41 was closed down for several hours as the Lee County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol troopers conducted their investigations at the accident scene.
Estero Fire Rescue Crews confirmed the accident was between an F-150 pickup truck and a Corvette.
