Coroner Identifies Pedestrian Tragically Killed in Richland County, South Carolina

DENTSVILLE, S.C. - A news report published on wistv.com states that a pedestrian was struck and tragically killed in Richland County, South Carolina.*

According to local officials, the South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers are reporting that a minivan was heading westbound along Parklane Road by Overpond Road. T he crash occurred at around 9:30 in the afternoon.  

The report states that the pedestrian was struck while crosssing a road.  According to Naida Rutherford, the Richland County Coroner, the accident victim is identified as a 38-year-old man from Columbia, South Carolina.

The Richland County Coroner stated that their office is working with the South Carolina Highway Patrol to investigate the fatal accident.  The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the fatal collision.
