Tragic, Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Sumter County, South Carolina

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. - A news report posted on wltx.com states that a man has been tragically killed in an afternoon motorcycle accident in Sumter County, South Carolina.*

According to the Sumter Coroner Robert Baker, the motorcycle accident occurred at around 2:20 in the afternoon along S.C. Highway 441 North and U.S. Hwy. 521.   

The victim, a 27-year-old man from Dalzell was heading on SC 441 North (also known as Peach Orchard Road) by Highway 521 when he collided with a car that had turned in front of him the coroner said in an email release. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Sumter county coroner.
