Georgia Man Tragically Dies in a Severe Silver Bluff Road Accident

GEORGIA - A news report published on postandcourier.com states that a Georgia man was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident along Silver Bluff Road last Sunday.*

The 35-year-old man from Grovetown, Georgia, was identified by the Aiken County Coroner's Office.  He was driving a Ford Explorer.

According to the news report, the man was pronounced deceased at the accident scene.  The Coroner's Office stated that blunt force injuries caused his death.  The Coroner's Office issued a news release stating that a toxicology analysis is pending.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol report, the accident happened at approximately 4:50in the evening by Anderson Pond Road.  The SUV was the only motor vehicle involved.  The Ford Explorer was heading west on Silver Bluff Road and then suddenly left the roadway.  The driver attempted to gain control but overcorrected, according to the Highway Patrol.  The SUV then crossed the centerline, ran off the side of the roadway, and then hit a tree.

The Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating the fatal accident.
