Tragic, Fatal Accident on Dorchester Road in South Carolina

NORTH CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA - A news article published on live5news.com reports that law enforcement officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol stated that one person was tragically killed and two other people were injured in a two-vehicle accident.*  The crash transpired on Dorchester Road in North Charleston last Monday morning. 

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers stated the accident occurred at 10:35 in the morning when a Toyota car was turning westbound onto Dorchester Road.  At that moment, a Dodge pickup was heading eastbound along Dorchester Road.  The two motor vehicles then crashed into each other, according to troopers. 

The driver of the Toyota was tragically killed in the accident, while a passenger was taken to a local area hospital.  The driver of the Dodge pickup truck was also transported to a local area hospital. 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol stated all those involved in the accident were wearing seatbelts.  The North Charleston firefighters reported that the accident involved an entrapment.  The area was shut down as crews worked the accident scene.
