Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Pleasant Road Near Fort Mill, South Carolina

A news report on heraldonline.com states that a motorcyclist was tragically killed last Sunday morning near Fort Mill, South Carolina.* The report states that the fatal motorcycle accident occurred at approximately 4:30 AM along Pleasant Road close to Coltharp Road and north of Fort Mill, South Carolina.  

South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Brandon Bolt stated that the operator of a 2004 Honda motorcycle allegedly crossed the media line on Pleasant Road while he was heading southbound. The motorcyclist then drove off of the left side of Pleasant Road and collided with a highway traffic sign and a fire hydrant. 

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. He was tragically thrown off the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. There wasn't a passenger riding on the back of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist's name was released. The accident is currently under investigation to determine if any other vehicles were involved in the accident or caused the motorcycle accident.
