Several Injured Following an Accident on Highway 544 in Horry County, South Carolina (SC)

HORRY COUNTY, SC - A news story on wmbfnews.com reports that Nearly a dozen people were hurt in a crash on Highway 544 last Saturday.* The Horry County Fire Rescue stated that their emergency rescue crews were called to a severe motor vehicle accident on Fetlock Drive. The three-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 2:20 PM. 

The Horry County Fire Rescue stated that the three-vehicle wreck involved at least one occupant entrapment, and traffic was backed up in both directions along Highway 544. Drivers were asked to avoid the accident area and to use alternate routes.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the multi-vehicle accident. No names of those involved in the accident were made public.
