Fatal 18-wheeler Accident on U.S. 521 North in Kershaw County, South Carolina
COLUMBIA, SC - A news story published on habccolumbia.com reports that the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office has released additional information regarding a fatal 18-wheeler accident that tragically killed a woman. Kershaw County Coroner David West stated that the victim was a 33-year-old woman.
The fatal trucking accident occurred at 6:14 AM and occurred on U.S. 521 North of Camden. The accident investigators stated that the accident was a head-on collision. Law enforcement officers stated that the victim was driving her Toyota 4 Runner and was in the process of passing another vehicle when she collided head-on with an 18-wheeler. The accident ejected the woman from her SUV. The Kershaw County Coroner stated that the woman was tragically pronounced dead at the accident scene at around 6:57 AM.
Accident investigators stated that the driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured. The accident investigation is ongoing.
