Fatal 18-wheeler Truck on I-95 at the Georgia-South Carolina Border
SOUTH CAROLINA - A news story published on islandpacket.com reports that a driver was tragically killed last Monday evening in an accident on I-95 in Jasper County, South Carolina.* The victim, a 25-year-old man from Georgia, died after his Honda collided with an 18-wheeler semi-tractor-trailer truck along I-95 the Georgia-South Carolina border. According to Jasper County Coroner Willie P. Aiken, the victim tragically passed away on impact.
The fatal truck accident happened at around 10 PM by the 2.5-mile marker. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, Corporal Sonny Collins stated that when the Honda Accord collided with the 18-wheeler, the truck overturned.
According to the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, the accident is the sixth fatal accident in Jasper County in 2021. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident with assistance from the Highway Patrol Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team.
No names of those involved in the fatal truck accident were released.
