One Personal Tragically Killed, Another Severely Injured in an Accident in Orangeburg County, South Carolina
ORANGEBURG, SC - A news story published on wltx.com reports that the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) was called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred at around 9:30 AM, approximately two miles east of Neeses, South Carolina.*
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Corporal Tyler Tidwell, the fatal motor vehicle accident occurred at around 9:30 AM. The news report states that a Chevy sedan was heading eastbound along Ninety-Six road approximately two miles east of Neeses, South Carolina.
According to Trooper Tidwell, the vehicle left the roadway, hit an embankment, overturned, and then caught on fire. The driver of the motor vehicle was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
The name of the victim who was tragically killed in the motor vehicle accident was not yet made public by the coroner. The fatal accident is currently under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
