Fatal Motorcycle Head-on Collision in Gaffney, South Carolina.

GAFFNEY, SC - An online news report published on wyff4.com states that a motorcyclist was tragically killed in a head-on accident in Gaffney, South Carolina.*  According to Coroner Dennis Fowler, with Cherokee County Coroner's Office, the victim was a 47-year-old man from Blacksburg, South Carolina.  The fatal motorcycle accident occurred last Tuesday afternoon in Gaffney, South Carolina.  

Mr. Fowler stated that the motorcycle crash occurred at around 3 in the afternoon along Old Georgia Highway.  The victim was identified, but our news report protects the identities of those involved in accidents. According to the Cherokee County Coroner, the victim was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound along Old Georgia Highway when he allegedly crossed the center line and collided with an SUV traveling northbound. 

The report states that the motorcyclist traveled across the top of the motor vehicle and ejected the victim into a parking lot of a business.  The victim allegedly was not wearing a helmet, and he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the motorcycle accident. 

The SUV's driver was taken to Cherokee Medical Center for medical treatment.  The fatal motorcycle accident is currently under investigation.
