Fire Truck Overturns on I-26 in Asheville, North Carolina

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, NC - An accident news article published on foxcarolina.com, the North Carolina Department of Transportation stated that motorists had to find alternate routes around a serious accident that occurred along I-26 eastbound.*  The news report stated that a fire truck rolled over in an accident.

North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers stated that a firetruck overturned along the roadway on Long Shoals Road close by the exit to NC-146. North Carolina Department of Transportation stated that the accident occurred at approximately 8:30 pm.  The interstate was shut down, and drivers had to avoid getting hit by traffic.

According to the Asheville Fire Fighters Association, the accident's firefighters were released from a local area hospital.  The accident along I-26 was eventually cleared up, and traffic flow continued again.
