Sanitation Worker Seriously Injured in an Accident on Highway 41-A in Cheatham County, South Carolina (SC)

According to an online news report published on wsmv.com, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported on a serious accident that severely injured a sanitation worker on State Route 41 in Cheatham County, South Carolina.*

The Tennessee Highway Patrol stated that the sanitation worker was hit by a 19-year-old driving who was operating a Nissan Altima southbound along Highway 41-A.  The driver in the Nissan Altima collided into the rear of the Dodge Ram 5500 Stinky Pinky trash truck.  The rear-end collision caused serious personal injuries to the trash truck driver.

The truck driver, a 29-year-old man, was so badly injured that he was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center  by helicopter.  According to the news report, the collision occurred at around 8 a.m. in the 5900 block of Highway 41A.  The Tennessee Highway Patrol stated that there were no criminal charges filed and the investigation is ongoing.
