Pedestrian Accident on Highway 86 in Piedmont, South Carolina (SC)
According to an online news report published on foxcarolina.com, South Carolina State Troopers reported that a driver has been cited for striking a pedestrian who was allegedly in the roadway directing traffic.*
The South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers stated that the pedestrian accident occurred on Highway 86 close to the Major Road at approximately 7:38 p.m. South Carolina State Troopers reported that a Toyota pickup that was traveling westbound on Highway 86 when the driver hit the pedestrian accident victim.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers stated that the pedestrian accident caused the victim to sustain severe personal injuries. The man was transported to a local area hospital. However, the troopers did not report on the condition of the victim.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers said the pickup truck driver, a man from Piedmont, was charged with driving too fast for conditions. The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the pedestrian accident.
