Dump Truck Crash Kills One Near Ritner Highway in Penn Township in Pennsylvania (PA)

PENN TOWNSHIP, PA- Pennlive.com writes that a man died in a crash in Penn Township when he was struck by a dump truck. The police stated that the driver continued to travel away from the site of the crash. When questioned, the motorist claimed that he believed that he had only struck a deer.*

The victim was identified as a 20-year-old man from Carlisle. The man had been walking with another individual in the very early morning when the truck, which was heading south, struck him. The driver then saw the damage caused to his vehicle and suspected that he might have struck a person. At that point, he contacted the police and is reportedly cooperating with the investigation. 

Investigators are asking that anyone with information about the crash contact the state police.
