Driver Dies Days After Severe Wreck in Colleton County
COLLETON COUNTY, SC- Live5news.com writes that a driver who was involved in a two-car collision died this week several days after the crash. The incident took place in the early morning on US 17A close to Ridge Lane. Police stated that a 2013 Dodge pickup truck collided head-on with a 2007 Nissan SUV that drove across the center line in the roadway. The driver operating the Nissan sustained severe injuries in the crash, and responders transported the person to the Trident Medical Center where he or she later passed away.*
The coroner’s office is not yet releasing the identity of the person killed in the wreck.
Head-on collisions are frequently deadly because they involve intense amounts of force. Car crashes occur in three impacts. The first is the car’s impact with another vehicle or object.
