Tragic Colleton County Head-On Collision Kills Two
COLLETON COUNTY, SC- Live5news.com writes that two people were killed in a crash on Highway 303 this week. The incident took place in Colleton County during the evening.*
Reports indicate that a driver in a Ford Taurus and a motorist operating a Hyundai Sonata were driving in opposite directions when the Sonata veered off the roadway before overcorrecting. The Hyundai crossed the center line and entered the lane in which the Ford was traveling, causing the two vehicles to collide head-on. Police state that neither of the drivers were using a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Both of the drivers died from their injuries. Passengers were in both of the vehicles and also sustained injuries in the wreck. Responders transported the injured people to MUSC for treatment. The crash is still being investigated.
