Crash Kills 70-Year-Old Man on Pinewood Road in Manning, South Carolina
MANNING, SC- Theitem.com writes that a head-on collision on Pinewood Road tragically killed a 70-year-old man. The Sumter County Coroner declared the victim dead at the scene of the accident.*
Reports indicate that the crash occurred during the afternoon when a woman driving a 1993 Chevrolet truck southbound veered over the center line and into the northbound lanes where she collided head-on with a 2016 Toyota. The victim was sitting in the front passenger seat of the Toyota. Both occupants of the Toyota had their seatbelts fastened at the time of the crash.
The driver woman driving the Chevrolet did not have a seatbelt on when the accident occurred. Reports indicate that she suffered severe life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders brought the woman, her passenger, and the individual driving the Toyota to the Palmetto Health Richland via airlift.
