Fatal Multi-Vehicle Ladson Accident on Spencer Woods Road in North Charleston, South Carolina

October 25, 2019

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC- Counton2.com writes that multiple vehicles were involved in a severe wreck on Spencer Woods Road. The collision took place later at night over the weekend. The road was closed in both directions as officers investigated and cleared the scene.*

Reports indicate that one person was killed in the crash. The identities of the victim and the others involved are not yet known.

Car accidents can occur at any time of day. However, driving at night comes with certain risks. One of the problems is just a matter of vision. Drivers cannot see as well at night, and headlights often fail to show enough of the roadway. Headlights on other vehicles can also temporarily impair a person's vision. Fatigue and drowsiness are other problems many drivers face after dark. Statistically, 37 percent of drivers have fallen asleep behind the wheel. The risk of being involved in a collision is about three times as high when a person is fatigued as when they are well-rested.
