ANDERSON COUNTY, SC – According to an online news report at wyff4.com, a motorcyclist perished in a collision in Anderson County, South Carolina late last week, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.*
The coroner identified the deceased as a male, aged 54. The crash occurred right before noon on South Carolina Highway 252 where the motorcyclists tried to pass several vehicles. Per a trooper with the South Carolina Highway Patrol indicates that the motorcyclist was heading westbound on the highway at the time of the accident. A pickup truck driver was in the process of turning left into a private driveway when the motorcyclist struck the truck. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and perished at the scene. The driver of the truck sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. His current status and identification have not been released to the public. It has been reported that he was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
