Two Deadly Accidents Occur in Anderson County, South Carolina

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC – According to an online news report at 1063word.radio.com, two deadly accidents occurred on the same day in Anderson County late last week.*

The first crash occurred on South Carolina Highway 252 in the late morning hours.  Two drivers were headed westbound when the operator of a motorcycle tried to pass several vehicles.  The driver of a Ford pickup truck was attempting to turn left into a private driveway.  The motorcycle ended up T-boning the truck.  The driver of the pickup truck, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.  The driver of the motorcycle, who was not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred, was ejected from the motorcycle and as a result, died at the scene of the crash.

There are no further details on the accident at this time. Neither the driver nor the motorcyclist has been identified in the news report.  It is not clear as to the current status of the driver.  

The second crash occurred on South Carolina Highway 81 at the intersection of West Roosevelt Drive in the early afternoon hours. A sports utility vehicle was headed southbound on the roadway when a vehicle attempted to turn left onto West Roosevelt Drive.  The sports utility vehicle ended up T-boning the vehicle that was turning left.   The driver of sports utility vehicle sustained injuries in the crash.  The driver of the car that T-boned died at the scene of the accident.  This accident is currently under investigation by the local police.  There are no further details on the crash at this time.
