Man Tragically Dies in I-65 Accident in Burlington, North Carolina
BURLINGTON, NC – According to an online news report at myfox8.com, a man tragically died in an accident that occurred on Interstate 85 in Burlington, North Carolina.*
In the nighttime hours over the weekend, the North Carolina Highway Patrol were dispatched to an accident on Interstate 85/Interstate 40 close to North Carolina Highway 62 in Alamance County.
A male, aged 22, from Concord, North Carolina, was going eastbound in a Toyota as a 31-year-old male from Evans, Georgia was going in the same direction in a Jeep sports utility vehicle. The 22-year-old left his lane, oversteered and lost control of his vehicle.
The vehicle slammed into the Jeep causing him to lose control of his vehicle. The Jeep flipped over a number of times before slamming into a median and came to stop in the middle of the road.
The driver of the Jeep passed away where he later perished. There are no further details on the accident at this time. The crash remains under investigation by the local police.
