Four People Tragically Killed in Charlotte, North Carolina Motorcycle Accident
CHARLOTTE, NC – According to an online news report at witn.com, law enforcement notes that four people have perished after a motorcycle and vehicle collision.*
Per the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the driver of a motorcycle and three individuals who were occupants in the passenger vehicle perished late last week following a collision. The passenger vehicle was a Hyundai Elantra. The driver of the Hyundai and their front-seat passenger were transported to an area hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The police are currently conducting an investigation as to whether alcohol and/or drug impairment was a factor in the crash. It is known that the motorcyclist, a male, aged 22, was going at an excessive rate of speed, which contributed to the accident. At the time of the crash, the Hyundai was attempting to make a U-turn when the motorcycle struck it, killing three individuals in the vehicle, including a 24-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman, and another 22-year-old woman.
There are no further details on the crash at this time. The accident remains under investigation by the local police.
