Tragic, Fatal Car Accident on Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, North Carolina

ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA - A news story published on citizen-times.com reports that two people were tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, North Carolina.*

According to a press release from the National Park Service, Blue Ridge Parkway rangers and Buncombe County rescue crews responded to the accident scene.  The accident occurred by Mile Marker 386.  Milepost 386 is two miles south of the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center.

Emergency first responders discovered two deceased persons inside a Toyota Solara.  The victims were identified by the National Park Service as two men from Mexico. 

Law enforcement is asking the public for any information, photos, or tips to help them with their investigation.  So far, the preliminary investigation found that the motor vehicle was heading south when the car left the roadway and crashed into two trees.  The fatal accident investigation is ongoing to ascertain what were the contributing factors of the crash.
