Tragic, Fatal Car Accident on Old Green Pond Road in Anderson County, North Carolina

ANDERSON COUNTY, SC  – According to an online news report published on wspa.com, one person has been tragically killed and two others are seriously injured following a car accident in Anderson County, South Carolina.*

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal car accident occurred at around 6:30 in the evening at the corner of Old Asbury Road and Old Green Pond Road. 

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers reported that a pickup truck entered Old Green Pond Road when it crashed into a car that was driving along Old Green Pond Road.  The driver and passenger were transported to a local area hospital. 

Tragically, the car’s passenger passed away at the hospital due to the severity of their injuries.  

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatal car accident victim.  The victim, a 55-year-old man, passed away due to several traumatic injuries and died due to blunt force trauma.  The accident is currently under investigation by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol’s Multi-disciplinary Accident Investigation Team.
