Teenager Tragically Killed in a Motorcycle Accident in High Point, North Carolina
HIGH POINT, N.C. - A news story published on myfox8.com reports that a teenager was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in High Point, North Carolina last Tuesday night.*
According to a press release issued by the High Point Police, the 18-year-old man from High Point was traveling eastbound on West Market Center Drive. At approximately 5:20 PM, the motorcyclist lost control and crossed a concrete median into the westbound traffic lanes.
The High Point Police stated that the motorcyclist was thrown off of his motorcycle and he was pronounced deceased at the accident scene. The motorcycle struck a truck that was heading westbound. The passengers in the truck were not injured in the accident.
High Point Police believe that speed and the motorcyclist's inexperience may have contributed to the fatal motorcycle accident. The crash is currently under investigation.
