Severe Accident on I-77 Northbound in Charlotte, North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA - A news article published on wbtv.com reports on a severe motor vehicle accident on Interstate 77 North.  The accident closed down traffic for most of the afternoon.*

The serious motor vehicle accident occurred around noon by exit 30.  The motor vehicle crash involved a tractor-trailer truck.  Motorists were asked to avoid the accident area.  One accident victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was a medical helicopter airlifted to a local area hospital. There was no other information provided by first responders.
