Tragic, Fatal Accident on on Elm Street in Greensboro, North Carolina

GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA - A news article published on wxii12.com states that the Greensboro Police are currently investigating a fatal accident.*  The accident occurred on Elm Street. The motor vehicle wreck happened at around 11:47 PM, investigators stated.

Greensboro Police reported that a Dodge Challenger ran off of the roadway and collided with trees, street signs, and a rock wall on Sommerton Drive.  The passenger and driver in the car were transported to Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Tragically, the driver passed away from injuries that were caused in the collision.

The passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment.

Greensboro Police haven't identified the driver who was killed at the time of this article's publication.  The Greensboro Police Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently conducting the fatal accident investigation.  Those with information about the accident are asked to contact the Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers.
