Two People Tragically Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Wilmington, North Carolina

WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA - A news article published on reports that two people were tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in Wilmington, North Carolina, last Sunday night.*

The motorcycle accident happened in the westbound traffic lanes of Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway by Highway 133 at around 7:50 in the evening.  According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist, a 52-year-old man from Wilmington, lost control of his motorcycle, drove off the roadway, and collided with a guardrail.

The motorcyclist and his passenger, a 38-year-old woman from Leland, were tragically killed.  No other motor vehicles were involved in the accident.  The North Carolina State Highway Patrol stated excessive speed is likely a contributing factor to the accident.
