Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Blowing Rock Road in Watauga County, North Carolina

BOONE, NC - A news report published on wsoctv.com states that a motorcyclist was tragically killed in an accident in Watauga County last Saturday evening.*  The crash occurred at around 5:20 PM on Blowing Rock Road by Faculty Street.

Boone Police stated that a motorcyclist was heading southbound along the road when he hit the side of a truck on the northbound side of the road. The truck was attempting to turn left onto Faculty Street.

The motorcyclist, the 22-year-old man, was transported to a local area hospital, where he tragically passed away.

Emergency medical services checked the truck driver at the accident scene, and the driver didn't want to be taken to a hospital. The Appalachian State University Police and the Highway Patrol are investigating the motorcycle accident.
