Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Sunday Accident in Lenoir County, North Carolina
LENOIR COUNTY, NC - A news story published on witn.com states that one person was tragically killed in a Sunday night motor vehicle accident.* According to the Lenoir County Highway Patrol, another person sustained severe injuries in the crash.
Lenoir County Highway Patrol troopers reported that a 19-year-old man and his passenger were traveling from Goldsboro to La Grange along U.S. 70 when the car suddenly swerved off the roadway, overcorrected, and crashed into an embankment by Barwick Station Road. The motor vehicle also overturned several times.
The driver was tragically killed in the motor vehicle accident, and he was tragically was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The passenger was transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina, for treatment of serious accident-related injuries.
