Fatal Motorcycle Accident on the Southbound Lanes of Interstate 85 in North Carolina

Charlotte, North Carolina - A news report posted on wbtv.com states that a person driving a motorcycle was tragically killed in an accident last Sunday afternoon near Salisbury, North Carolina.*  According to the report, the motorcycle accident occurred at around three in the afternoon along the southbound lanes of Interstate 85, close to Webb Road.

North Carolina state highway patrol trooper stated that a 43-year-old from Spartanburg, South Carolina, was a passenger on a motorcycle that crashed after the motorcycle blew a tire. The motorcycle then fell onto its side, throwing the rider and the motorcycle operator from the motorcycle. The man was done struck and killed by an 18 wheeler. 

The motorcycle driver was hurt, but it will likely be OK, according to medical professionals. All traffic lanes were shut down for appeared of time as the accident scene was being investigated by law enforcement. No names of those involved in the motorcycle accident were made public. No criminal charges have been reported at this time.
