Tragic Head-on Collision Along I-95 in Hardeeville, South Carolina

Hardeeville, South Carolina - A news report published on IslandPacket.com states that a motor vehicle accident on I-95 late Monday morning tragically killed one person after their motor vehicle crashed head-on with a truck near Hardeeville, South Carolina.*  According to the news report, a car with two passengers was traveling southbound and drifted into the northbound traffic lane. The car collided head-on into a truck, says Hardie Hardeeville police chief Sam Woodard Woodford watered one passenger tragically passed away, while the other was taken to Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. 

Please dispatchers were notified about the motor vehicle accident at approximately 11:35 AM. According to Assistant Chief James Joey Role with the Hardeeville Fire Department, it took firefighters approximately 25 minutes to extricate the one injured person from the motor vehicle due to the significant damage. Mr. Roswell stated that the truck was a heavy-duty pickup truck, and its passengers had multiple injuries and were shook up.

According to the Assistant Chief Role, traffic will be congested for the remainder of the afternoon as the action is cleaned up.
